👥 Facebook Adds a ‘Friends Tab’ to Bring Back the OG Vibes

Mark Zuckerberg wants to channel the early days of Facebook, so Meta has launched a new Friends Tab, a feed dedicated purely to posts from your friends and family.

Gone are suggested friends and friend requests in that spot. Instead, you’ll see photos, stories, birthday updates, and more from your actual connections (remember them?).

It’s a push to bring back what made Facebook magical before it became a marketplace, video hub, meme vault, and ad machine. For now, it’s only available in the US and Canada. 👉 Read More

😬 TikTok Pulls ‘Chubby Filter’ After Backlash

A viral filter that altered body shapes making users look larger or slimmer, sparked some seriously problematic reactions and widespread criticism for promoting body shaming.

The filter, which originated on TikTok’s CapCut app, has now been removed. TikTok says it’s reviewing similar effects and blocking them from teen accounts. But, naturally, some versions are still out there. 👉 Read More

Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat, revealed on The Diary of a CEO podcast that he purposely asks new hires to pitch a big idea on day one, knowing full well they’ll probably bomb.

Why? Because he wants to destigmatise failure and open the door to creativity. Bold move or corporate hazing? You decide.

He also says the #1 trait he hires for is kindness because kind teams make space for wild ideas. Honestly, we rate that. 👉 Read More

🔁 Instagram Reposts Are Rolling Out (For Real This Time)

Instagram is finally leaning into reposts, allowing you to share someone else’s content directly to your followers’ feeds, not just your Stories.

Reposts now appear like regular posts, complete with the option to add your own commentary. It’s a move that feels more “X” than IG, but it’s designed to boost engagement by making sharing easier.

This feature was tested years ago and shelved, but IG’s confidence (and reliance on recommended content) means it’s back for another crack. 👉 Read More
