Launching the LG Velvet in the Benelux
Challenge
During the summer of 2020, LG Electronics launched its new dual screen smartphone in the Benelux: the LG Velvet. The smartphone includes really cool features and a stylish design. The glass housing creates a rainbow effect under certain lights, whilst the cameras look like raindrops.
Approach
Through developing and executing a PR and influencer campaign, LG and LEWIS aimed to increase awareness of the LG Velvet amongst tech savvy millennials. To accomplish this, LEWIS worked together with three creative influencers to showcase the versatility of the LG Velvet: Yarasky and Marnickur, both focusing on tech and gaming, and Stijn Fransen, a lifestyle influencer.
Results
The three influencers worked with the smartphone and shared their experience with their (over 600,000 in total) followers. The influencers created videos to prove the different USPs of the LG Velvet, such as the creator’s kit, the raindrop cameras and the Dual Screen. This resulted in a stunning reach and engagement:
