LEWIS has appointed Caren Auchman as Senior Vice President and head of the Washington, D.C. office in support of the agency’s growing East Coast operations. She will report to Stephen Corsi, Executive Vice President of LEWIS U.S.
“As a highly respected public affairs and corporate communications practitioner, Caren brings deep knowledge of D.C. policy and the government landscape to LEWIS. She is building a public affairs practice that will integrate across our PR and digital capabilities,” stated Stephen. “Caren joins at a pivotal time in the agency as we grow our East Coast presence and expand our practice across new verticals and industries. We’re excited to have her on board as a senior leader.”
Caren joins from FleishmanHillard, where she helped lead the public affairs practice across energy, tech, manufacturing, consumer products and healthcare verticals. She has more than a decade of experience in media relations, reputation management and crisis communications in the public and private sectors.
A veteran of both Capitol Hill and the executive branch, Caren has led national, fully integrated advocacy and brand campaigns. She has advised CEOs, members of Congress, government officials and foreign leaders on communications strategy and reputation challenges. She served U.S. Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) and U.S. Representative Henry A. Waxman (D-CA) on both the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Caren was also Press Secretary of the U.S. General Services Administration during the Obama administration.
