Marketing Executive, APAC

Purpose of the role

The Marketing Executive, APAC provides effective and efficient support to LEWIS APAC’s internal marketing efforts. This role involves taking the lead on, and responsibility for, ongoing marketing campaigns and related projects.

Key responsibilities and tasks

Regional marketing activity

  • Takes a lead role in the planning and execution of regional marketing activities (APAC)
  • Management of regional activity calendar ensuring timely and relevant outreach regionally
  • Actively researches and suggests ideas and opportunities to promote the company and services
  • Builds and maintains external relationships with journalists, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders/audiences
  • Works alongside the Creative Executive to develop all supporting creative assets for both regional and local marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Participates in brainstorms and training sessions

Local marketing activity

  • Supports and offers guidance to local teams for local marketing activities (AU, CN, HK, MY, SG)
  • Leads paid campaigns (digital and social) to increase awareness and lead generation of all local markets
  • Supports the sales and client engagement team with prospect outreach

Advertising, events and sponsorship

  • Actively seek opportunities to promote and benefit the agency
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders on topics, speakers, content and promotion/follow-ups
  • Works in partnership with designers on associated creative and collateral
  • Manages events including speaker liaison to venue management
  • Manages costs and activity to ensure delivery is on-time and to budget
  • Ensures ample marketing supplies are available based on requirements
  • Identifies new requirements and provides solution ideas
  • Manages printing/production of marketing collateral, sourcing quotes and liaising with designers and printers/suppliers as necessary 

Content and PR

  • Manages blog content and contributor calendar for the region
  • Manages executive team speaking engagements
  • Manages award programme including identifying opportunities and the creation and submission of entries
  • Ensures there is a regular pipeline of news and announcements from the region, including drafting and approval process
  • Identifies and creates a regular pipeline of case studies for publication on external channels

Direct mail outreach and social marketing

  • Manages the production/creation of regular online and offline mailers
  • Suggests ideas for creative outreach campaigns including leveraging on trending topics as a part of social content creation
  • Segments and targets distribution lists, liaising with the sales team
  • Leads the social media marketing activity and ensures the region is well-represented
  • Collaborates with the Futures Hub team for SEO and SEM campaigns, overseeing and ensuring these are run optimally
  • Main website editor for the regional site
  • Manages social media community and comments when needed

 Business development

  • Works closely with the team to ensure marketing is central to driving brand awareness and qualified leads
  • Monitors marketing qualified leads and flags/refers new business opportunities to senior team members

 Reporting and analysis

  • Compiles and interprets reports for the newsletter
  • Monitors campaign performance data and contributes to marketing reports, including campaigns such as website performance, mailers, events, advertising and social media activity
  • Monitors and analyses engagements on social media and responds as appropriate
  • Compiles ad-hoc reports and/or analysis as and when required

Systems and administration

  • Is a super-user of the team’s major marketing tools for social media management, content management systems and email [namely Act-On, Oktopost and Wordpress]
  • Is a curator for the Marketing portal on the Intranet to ensure it is a destination for the global team to access current and correct assets and guides
  • Updates and maintains documents on the Marcomms server and other work spaces used by the team
  • Minutes team meetings and proactively helps to drive actions to ensure projects stay on-track
  • Manages administrative tasks for the team as appropriate 

General

  • Supports the Senior Marketing Manager, APAC and the wider marketing team on projects and initiatives e.g. announcements; collateral; social media and content creation
  • Is a cultural ambassador; promoting initiatives internally and externally; showcasing activities and achievements on Yammer and social media
  • Attends agency and industry events as appropriate to represent the agency
  • Seeks ways to increase knowledge for self-improvement and to improve the team’s ability to deliver results
  • Proactively suggests ideas for new processes and tools to improve efficiency and performance of the team
About you
  • Strong marketing generalist skill set. Proficient across all marketing tactics and channels, including events, mailers and social / online.
  • Creative thinking and independent problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Well organised; ability to prioritise; attention to detail; a pragmatic approach
  • Energetic, confident, charismatic – a credible team player
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a PR, sales or marketing-related subject)
  • Experience with CRM databases such as SharpSpring a plus
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and some experience with design, photos, videos, HTML
