Purpose of the role

The People Director is a critical all rounder business partnering role. The ideas and initiatives they develop with the broader HR team will help define the company's success, influencing both tactical and strategic decisions as LEWIS continues to evolve and grow in line with changes across the industry. The People Director will lead all EMEA HR strategy and policies, including leadership, culture, compensation, and development. The ideal People Director knows how people tick and the how to get the best out of them. They should be experienced in scaling talent across different markets, has excellent attention to detail, empathetic, is excited about creating ground-breaking initiatives driving employee satisfaction. This role is as much about marketing effectively to internal teams as it is about working with the talent team to drive engaging employer branding externally.

Main responsibilities

• Lead and develop the EMEA HR team to be a proactive, fast paced and effective business partnering function
• Partner with office heads and department heads to evaluate current team structure and skills, talent gaps and hiring plan to achieve business goals
• Identify and work with the commercial functions to identify effective tools to drive employee development and engagement
• Manage a team of people representatives across various EMEA markets
• Ensure accurate and real time people analytics to help drive thoughtful, data-driven people decisions
• Implement best practices while being equally excited about innovative new initiatives
• Prioritise diversity and inclusive working environments through training, talent acquisition and conversation
• Oversee and implement the management and administration of employee policies and benefits
• Proactively and regularly ensure compensation and leveling structure are up to date
• Guide data-driven, localised and regionalised people programs to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent across our offices
• Lead and evolve performance review and feedback process to ensure a culture of constant learning and evolution
• Identify, lead and manage training initiatives and development opportunities for employees
• Work as part of a cohesive global HR team, open to new ideas from different markets and maintaining an international working culture

About you

• 10+ year experience in a people leadership role, ideally in a fast paced environment
• Ideally someone with proven marketing / employer branding / internal comms experience
• Multi market capabilities
• Proven track record in scaling large people programs across multiple markets
• Ability to work with numerous stakeholders in a collaborative manner – able to influence across functions, levels and cultures to get things done
• Superb communication and coaching skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and coaching skills
• Strong understanding and up to date with latest technology and social channel trends
• Dynamic and vibrant personality
