TEAM LEWIS is excited to seek new talent to join us in a Senior Account Manager or Account Director position to take the lead in maintaining key media relationships on behalf of our flagship client, lead outreach for campaigns and oversees the integration of social media activity into campaigns. This person is also responsible for managing a team, coaching junior members of staff, ensuring individuals have the right skills, and that the team works together effectively.

You will help to bring this culture to our clients and our implementation, your goal will be to drive the highest levels of consultancy, problem solving and client servicing to win, retain and grow client accounts. You will bring integrated thinking and a strategic approach to our clients, understanding what they need, as well as what they want. A dynamic and driven leader, you’ll develop and nurture our bright, engaged team with open, two-way feedback and a no-ego approach.

  • Develop close consultative relationships with clients as the key day to day contact for all marketing comms services; develop initiatives for retention and organic growth
  • Ensure that activity meets the KPIs and deadlines set, and is reported to the client with insight and commentary
  • Manage day to day operational elements, including budgets and costs, client reporting, etc
  • Works with the management team to ensure account profitability and effective budgeting
  • Add value to new business pitches by providing support with coordination, research and insights, content generation, creative ideas, presentation preparation and attendance
  • Builds, maintains and develops robust relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers and analysts across national, trade and vertical media channels
  • Utilises network to create and maximise client coverage, advising on potential opportunities
  • Guides the team on formulating rapid response to breaking news on behalf of clients, reacting quickly to emerging stories in line with client profiles
  • Oversees and provides content creation for campaigns and projects including press releases, articles, blog entries, and other written material
  • Oversees the drafting of - a broad range of written materials including biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&As, ensuring a consistent level of high-quality content
  • Uses social media platforms to expand own network, develop media relationships and positively impact client results
  • Pitches additional digital content including infographics, animations and video to support written content and client aims
  • Champion the cascading of your UK/EMEA clients across the global network
  • Work closely with line reports to set objectives and support strengths and professional development
  • Regularly attend and lead TEAM LEWIS daily press briefings and training sessions
  • Overall, be a collaborative, encouraging, supportive member of the London team

About You
The Senior account manager will have a strength for multitasking, prioritising and organising within a fast-paced environment. A strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to ensure program results are meeting clients’ goals. Additionally, this candidate needs to able to lead discussions with clients to manage program expectations.

  • Strong experience within a Senior Account Manager or Account Director role within a B2B, corporate, digital communications agency
  • Experience in sustainability or purpose-led communications
  • Experience developing and executing integrated communication strategies
  • Strong experience in media relations, thought leadership and social media
  • Experience of issues management and/or stakeholder management
  • Experience advising senior clients and managing relationship independently
  • Ability to think strategically and understand clients' business goals
  • Ability to manage and deliver against scopes within budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Experience managing junior team members with a specific focus on client work and professional development.
  • A background in social strategy is a plus but not a prerequisite
