Helping those in need in the district of Miesbach
Holzkirchen hilft e.V. is a non-profit organization that helps those in need in the district of Miesbach (and beyond). The organization provides financial support to people who have got into difficulties through no fault of their own, e.g., because of job loss, death, illness, separation, or old age.
The organization provides a safety net when all other assistance has been exhausted. The association provides a range of support services and interest-free loans for individuals struggling with monetary issues. From one-time allowances for general living expenses, such as clothing, food, and medical bills whilst also helping to pay rent and take over utility, electricity, and heating costs. The board of directors and all active members work on a voluntary basis.
Why It Matters:
‘I was born and raised in Holzkirchen and still live here today. The place and the people who live here are very close to my heart. My family has been a member of the association for several years, my father was a board member and is now an honorary member. I personally support the association by helping with events – for example, the distribution of Christmas packages to those in need during the festive season (food, small surprises for children). It is frightening to see how many people are suffering during times of uncertainty, but I have seen what can be achieved with the simple acts of kindness this charity performs, which is why it is so important.’ Bettina Greiffer, Account Director, LEWIS Munich.
