Kom op tegen Kanker’s mission is to ease the experiences of both individuals suffering from cancer and their loved ones. The charity’s mission is a broad one. They work to provide a better quality of life and care for cancer patients, advocate for better policies, and to spread awareness of the vital research going on to help in the fight against cancer.
Kom op tegen Kanker invests a lot of time to raise money and awareness for vital cancer research efforts that support the prevention, biomedical and psychosocial impact of cancer. The money raised also goes towards studies and research projects, such as investigations on the cause of cancers including the impact of an unhealthy living and working environment, influence of air pollution, hormone-disrupting substances, and stress-related cancers. In addition to all of this, the charity also supports innovative screening strategies to detect people with an increased risk of cancer or people with cancer at an early stage.
