LEWIS, the global communications agency, launches in Hamburg on October 4. Since opening its first German office in 1997, the agency has successfully expanded from Munich to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Hamburg will be the fourth German LEWIS office, driven by demand from German technology and FMCG brands based in the North German city. Hamburg is also famous as the home of Germany’s creative and advertising industry. At the same time many leading digital and social brands, like Facebook and Xing, have their German headquarters in Hamburg.

The Hamburg office will be led by new hire Britta Heer. Britta brings expertise in the areas of PR and marketing, as well as ten years digital experience. Most recently Britta was the Managing Director and Chief Digital Officer at Achtung and before that Head of Digital Germany at Edelman.

Rafael Rahn, Senior Vice President Central and Eastern Europe at LEWIS said: “We are very pleased to welcome Britta Heer to lead the new Hamburg office. Her all-round experience is a great fit for our integrated approach. Her pioneering spirit and excellent network in Northern Germany are a great foundation for the new office to grow from. It is great to have such a strong leader to launch LEWIS in Germany’s creative and digital capital.”

Britta Heer, Head of LEWIS Hamburg, added: “As an independently-owned agency with a global network, LEWIS is a compelling alternative for German companies with international ambitions. I am looking forward to using my integrated experience to benefit a new client base in Hamburg.”
