About the role

The SEO and Digital Specialist plays a key and visible role in defining, prioritising, and managing execution of key SEO tactical initiatives, including keyword analysis, on/off-page optimisations, content development, site auditing, link-building, and competitive analyses. You will recommend SEO performance improvements, and stay abreast of SEO market changes and new opportunities.

The SEO and Digital Specialist plays a key and visible role in defining, prioritising, and managing execution of key SEO tactical initiatives, including keyword analysis, on/off-page optimisations, content development, site auditing, link-building, and competitive analyses. You will recommend SEO performance improvements, and stay abreast of SEO market changes and new opportunities.

About you

  • Solid SEO experience, in an agency or corporate (in-house) environment – SEO campaign management, SEO guidelines and implementation
  • Experience with Google’s services, including Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools
  • Experience interacting and providing client service, client communications skills (written and presentation skills)
  • Tech-savvy, with both traditional and online marketing experience
  • Track record of working on multiple projects and launching successful web projects and SEO campaigns
  • The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
  • A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
  • A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
  • Good ability in writing content when needed.
  • Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
  • A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
  • An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry
  • Familiarity with the best tools in the trade such as MOZ, BrightEdge, RioSEO, and Conductor or similar industry standard tools
  • Ability to demonstrate and explain SEO strategies to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent multi-tasking/organisational skills
  • Usage and an avid interest in SEO and social media channels
  • Fluent or native Portuguese 
  • Excellent English skills are a must for this role
  • knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage. 
  • Articulate, detail-oriented, creative, energetic and ambitious

Core responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Business Development manager and core account servicing teams on the strategic planning and tactical implementation of all SEO/SEM and other Digital activity
  • Developing strong relationships with existing LEWIS PR clients; providing added value strategic consultancy and presenting the value, benefits and capabilities to PR-only clients
  • Supporting cross-selling including ongoing project work in SEO/SEM and search; fostering integration with LEWIS PR account teams
  • Provide expertise and training to clients around on-page and off-page SEO tactics.
  • Foster the integration of content and SEO integration with social media and web design.
  • Define, prioritise, and manage the execution of key SEO tactical initiatives, including keyword analysis, on-site optimisation, content development, site auditing, link-building, and competitive analysis.
  • Recommend SEO performance improvements, and stay abreast of SEO market changes and new opportunities.
  • Participating in and managing new business pitches and preparation of presentation decks
  • Coaching, developing and training new hires in addition to sharing knowledge across the LEWIS network, both locally and regionally
  • Plan, develop and implement PPC (SEM) campaigns on behalf of clients and provide analysis and reporting on results
  • Management of internal and clients social media
