LEWIS, the global integrated communications agency, has finished its financial year end July 2018 with record revenues in Australia. Revenues grew 55% year-on-year, driven by a haul of new clients signing up to the agency.
Brands joining the agency’s roster in the last year include financial services messaging provider SWIFT; social media marketing platform Socialbakers; cybersecurity firm Sophos; infant health technology company Owlet; and health care products and services distributor Henry Schein.
To support the growth, the Sydney office has invested in a string of new hires including Smitha Virik. The new Associate Director’s expertise will help to further grow the office and build out the agency’s integrated offering across content, creative, social, analytics, paid media and PR. Smitha was previously Director of Integrated Marketing at Text100 Australia and Singapore.
Steven Reilly, General Manager of LEWIS Australia said, “We’ve had a remarkable year of growth within our client portfolio, team and service offering. We have won some fantastic new accounts and have had great success diversifying the range of work we are doing.”
“Our integrated approach to solving client challenges has put us in a strong position to continue this momentum as we progress our APAC 2020 regional growth plan and expand our presence in Australia.”
LEWIS’ APAC 2020 plan will see the global integrated communications agency invest USD$6.5 million to open eight new offices in Asia Pacific including Melbourne, and create 200 new roles across the region.
“The 2020 plan will see LEWIS growing at a rate faster than almost any agency in the APAC region. We’ve made these hires to bolster our ambitious plan of doubling the team in Sydney and positioning ourselves to make our mark in Melbourne very soon,” Reilly added.
LEWIS is currently recruiting a team for its Melbourne operation.
