✅ LinkedIn delivers deeper ad engagement insights, hooray

LinkedIn is expanding the Revenue Attribution report, with improved insights, giving B2B marketers enhanced visibility into what’s driving results—and what isn’t. You can now track performance across multiple touchpoints, that will show how different people from a target company have engaged with your ads. This means a better understanding of the broader purchase journey. If you’re in B2B, now’s time to sharpen those dashboards and level up your strategy.

Check those insights and adjust your journey towards Social Media Today.

🎵 TikTok lets you save music straight to SoundCloud

TikTok and SoundCloud are teaming up to let users save music directly from TikTok into the SoundCloud app, making it easier than ever to add tracks discovered on TikTok straight their Liked Tracks playlist on SoundCloud. This new feature, ‘Add to Music App’, lets users tap a button and instantly find that catchy song. It’s part of TikTok’s ongoing push into music discovery and creator support. It’s a win for musicians, brands, and anyone using music to boost engagement and connect with audiences.

Now let’s hear some noise for this update, straight out of the TikTok newsroom.

🦋 Don’t be terrified, get verified on Bluesky

I couldn’t summarize this more precise as they did on their blog: “Trust is everything. Social media has connected us in powerful ways, but it hasn’t always given us the tools to know who we’re interacting with or why we should trust them. For example, the New York Times can now issue blue checks to its journalists directly in the app. Bluesky’s moderation team reviews each verification to ensure authenticity.” Getting verified is simple, just fill out a form.

Spotted on Bluesky’s own verified and trusted. Check out the full story here.

🔥 X goes down after data centre fire

On May 23, X experienced a major outage after a data centre fire disrupted services. Users were unable to post or see replies for several hours, which sparked a flood of complaints—and, of course memes. The incident highlights just how fragile platform infrastructure can be, and underscores the importance of backup systems. A small blaze, a big digital silence.

🎙️ Instagram adds voice message transcriptions

Instagram has announced a couple of messaging updates, as it continues to lean into rising DM usage in the app. Instagram DMs now feature automatic transcriptions for voice messages. This feature has been in testing with select users for a while, so it has been floating around in some corners of the app. But now, all users will be able to send and receive extended audio clips in their DMs.

You can’t hear it, but the full story – almost like a transcription – is available at Social Media Today.
