🎥 Your new secret weapon for Reels: Instagram drops video editing app

Instagram is stepping up its creator game with “Edit,” a new standalone video editing app. It offers templates, advanced editing tools, and seamless integration with Instagram Reels. The app is clearly Instagram’s answer to TikTok’s in-app editing features. If you’re serious about your Reels, getting familiar with “Edit” will soon be a must. And let’s be honest, it is also a reaction to the success of CapCut.

🦋 Bluesky goes dark: major outage leaves users offline

Bluesky, the decentralised social platform often seen as “the next Twitter/X,” went down hard last week. Users couldn’t load feeds or post updates, leading to a flood of memes and complaints. The team blamed “infrastructure instability”, but users are losing patience. It’s a reminder that even the most promising platforms need rock-solid tech foundations to back them up.
