🎮 Twitch will be improving their mobile experience – vertical viewing hello

At TwitchCon in our lovely Rotterdam, the platform revealed many updates. I couldn’t summarize it better than their own blog: “When viewers come to your channel, we want to make sure they’re getting the best possible viewing experience, no matter what screen they’re watching on.
To get your streams looking better on smaller devices, we’re rolling out dual-format streaming and vertical viewing. The new vertical layout makes it easier for viewers to participate in events like Hype Trains and support you by subscribing, gifting, and cheering while watching your stream in full screen. They’ll also be able to customize chat to have more control over how much chat they see on screen.”

🚨 Dutch government tightens ad rules for all influencers

In the Netherlands, new legislation will extend advertising disclosure rules to all influencers, no matter how many followers they have. Starting June 16, stricter advertising rules will apply to all video creators who are registered with the Chamber of Commerce and have an account on YouTube, Instagram, and/or TikTok, who have posted at least 24 videos on those platforms in the past 12 months, and who have earned money or received free products in exchange.
Because #ad means #ad, no matter your follower count.
