Microsoft is jumping directly into the AI image-generation race with its first in-house model, MAI-Image-1. Designed to compete with DALL-E, the new model is already ranking in the top 10 on the LMArena leaderboard and is praised for its photorealism, speed, and ability to render complex details like light reflections. 💧 Meta Deploys Invisible Watermarks for Videos

Meta is scaling up a new “invisible watermarking” system to help identify content provenance across its platforms. This technology embeds an imperceptible signal into videos, allowing Meta’s software to detect it later. The goal is to help with use cases like detecting AI-generated videos, verifying who uploaded a video first, and identifying the source of the content.

🎬 TikTok Adds More AI Creation Tools to Main Composer

These features were previously only available to advertisers via the Symphony platform, but this move will bring them to a much wider audience.

📊 Instagram Adds Competitor Insights for Pro Accounts

Instagram is rolling out a new “Competitive Insights” tab within the Professional Dashboard. This feature allows business and creator accounts to select up to 10 other accounts for a side-by-side comparison. The dashboard shows data on relative follower growth and posting frequency across Reels, feed posts, and ads. While it doesn’t yet include deeper metrics like clicks, it’s a new way to benchmark your activity.
