politicians wrote letters of support
National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), formerly Western Power Distribution, needed to build parliamentary support for increased investment in the UK’s electricity distribution infrastructure. This investment was essential to enable decarbonisation ahead of Ofgem’s RIIO-ED2 five-year price negotiations.
Delivered a two-year parliamentary engagement programme. The campaign engaged all NGED constituency MPs, including Ministers and Shadows, using innovative constituency data packs and hosting five Parliamentary receptions and roundtables in Westminster and the Welsh Senedd. As a result, politicians wrote letters of support to the regulator, and MPs recorded videos explaining why their communities needed additional network investment.
This funding will help connect thousands of renewable generators, EV charge points and heat pumps.
