Practice to focus on public affairs, marketing, policy and stakeholder engagement.

London, March 10, 2026 – TEAM LEWIS today launched a specialist Defence and Advanced Technologies practice to consolidates the agency’s strength across defence, aerospace, advanced technology, and supply chains.

A new age of rapid innovation cycles and autonomous and unmanned systems is changing the face of battlefield technologies. The threshold to new market entrants is becoming lower, in countries where public procurement processes can keep pace with this change, while those who do not risk failing to rise to meet the challenge of an era of integration.  New improvisational approaches are becoming necessary to accommodate rapid and disruptive innovation.

This requires a fundamentally different approach to defence marketing and public policy for this new age.

Countries seeking to maintain a security and innovation advantage must find ways to bring together technology, capital, and policy to innovate at speed and take advantage of dual-purpose technologies that serve the whole of society.  Technologies and supply chains now cut across sectors, domains and policy objectives. Organisations need strategic communications that connect commercial development, policy platforms and investor confidence.

TEAM LEWIS will support innovators across the sector with integrated communications and public affairs expertise, built on its decades of experience in major defence markets around the world.

The Defence and Advanced Technologies team will work with clients ranging from emerging innovators entering the market to established organisations addressing complex public policy and regulatory challenges.

Rt Hon Dame Penny Mordaunt, former UK Secretary of State for Defence, highlighted the changing landscape of defence and advanced technologies: “To maximise their value, companies need to think across services, sectors and domains. Investment options are increasing and they want versatile, dual-use technology. Militaries want greater options from the platforms they invest in. Procurement systems are changing beyond recognition to become more agile. Video formats and AI tools are obligatory. All this requires a massive shift in how businesses approach the market. Keeping up doesn’t have to add cost, but it does require an understanding of what is now needed, which is why I am supporting this new offer to the sector.”

As part of this launch, TEAM LEWIS will showcase its AI-enabled video production capabilities to create marketing, training and simulation content from footage and still photographs of equipment on exercise. The practice will offer integrated marketing, public affairs, advocacy, corporate and financial communications support. The agency’s global network and experience in technology and innovation underpin its work in this sector.
