Welcome back to this week’s TEAM LEWIS Social Round-Up.

Big week if you like your social platforms slightly… unsettling. Zuckerberg is building an AI version of himself (because one wasn’t enough), Instagram is finally letting you fix your typos, and YouTube is doubling down on live content and monetisation.

Meanwhile X is handing out posting advice like a seasoned content strategist, LinkedIn is quietly tweaking video again, and WhatsApp has decided it wants to be closer to your football club than you are.
    Let’s get into it 👇

🤖 Zuckerberg is building an AI version of himself

Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly developing an AI clone trained on his own voice, mannerisms and thinking style, with the goal of helping him do his job… and potentially interact with others on his behalf.

It’s part of Meta’s broader push into AI personas, building on tools that already let creators generate chatbot versions of themselves. Interesting from a tech perspective. Slightly weird from a human one. Social platforms were built on connection, and now we’re heading towards a world where bots talk to bots while we watch. 👉 Read More

    ✏️ Instagram adds comment editing

Instagram has finally rolled out comment editing, giving users a 15-minute window to fix typos, rethink replies, or completely change their mind.

There’s no edit history visible, just a small “edited” label, which does raise some questions around context shifting after a comment gets likes. That said, X and Threads already allow editing without chaos, so this feels like a long overdue quality-of-life update more than anything else. 👉 Read More

🎥 YouTube adds new livestream engagement tools

YouTube has introduced a batch of new livestream features, including expanded gifting, ad-free windows for paying fans, and the ability to stream in both vertical and horizontal formats at the same time.

It’s all about keeping viewers engaged and giving creators more ways to monetise. Less interruption during key moments, more flexibility in how content is delivered, and more incentives for fans to spend. With live viewership continuing to grow, YouTube is clearly going all in on real-time content. 👉 Read More

🧠 New advice on how to win on X

X has shared new guidance on what performs best, and it’s not exactly groundbreaking, but it is useful. More context in posts, fewer lazy link drops, and avoid reposting content from other platforms unless you want your reach to fall off a cliff.

There’s also data showing that “Breaking News” style posts drive significantly higher engagement, though X is now trying to crack down on overuse of that tactic. The bigger takeaway. You can’t just treat X as a traffic driver anymore, you need to give people something worth engaging with in the post itself. 👉 Read More

    ⚽ WhatsApp partners with Arsenal

WhatsApp has teamed up with Arsenal to create more direct fan engagement through its Channels and group chat features, kicking things off with a new documentary and exclusive content.

It’s another step in turning messaging apps into content and community platforms. If you’ve got millions of fans already chatting, why not own the conversation as well. Expect more sports partnerships like this as platforms look for deeper, always-on engagement. 👉 Read More

⏩ LinkedIn adds video playback controls

LinkedIn has quietly introduced video speed controls, letting users watch content at half speed or double speed.

It’s a small feature, but it reflects a bigger trend. Video consumption on LinkedIn is growing fast, and the platform is slowly building out the tools to support longer, more flexible content formats. Also, let’s be honest, some LinkedIn videos were made for 2x speed. 👉 Read More

🔧 Quick Tip of the Week

If you’re posting on X, don’t just drop a link and hope for the best. Add context, summarise key points, or turn it into a short thread. The platform is rewarding content that keeps people in-app, not sends them somewhere else.
