Welcome back to this week’s TEAM LEWIS Social Round-Up.

Some weeks social platforms gently tweak things in the background. This is not one of those weeks. Instagram is letting you reshuffle reels after they’re live, AI is now turning your photos into videos, and Zuckerberg is building an AI version of himself to help run Meta.

Snapchat wants to show your ads everywhere all at once, YouTube is trying to save us from clickbait thumbnails, and LinkedIn is doubling down on creators and video.

🔄 Instagram lets you rearrange carousel posts after publishing

Instagram has rolled out a long-awaited update that lets users rearrange carousel posts after they’ve already gone live. You can now simply long press and drag images or videos into a new order, giving creators much more control over how their content appears.

It sounds like a small tweak, but it’s a big one for anyone who wants to curate their feed perfectly. Carousels are already one of the best-performing formats on Instagram, with higher engagement than single posts, so being able to refine them after publishing opens up more room to test, tweak and optimise content. 👉 Read More

🎬 Instagram adds AI transitions for Stories

Instagram is introducing a new AI-powered transition tool that turns still images into moving video sequences within Stories. Instead of static slides, the AI stitches images together into a dynamic, animated format.

It’s another step in Meta’s push to bring AI into every part of content creation. On one hand, it makes it easier to create video without filming anything. On the other, we’ve all seen what happens when AI gets a bit creative with human limbs and physics. This could be a powerful tool… or the start of some very strange Stories content. 👉 Read More

👻 Snapchat rolls out high-impact ad formats

Snapchat has introduced a new range of ad options designed to give brands more visibility across the app. The headline feature is “Total Snap Takeovers,” which guarantees a brand appears in the first ad slot across multiple sections of the platform.

They’re also rolling out new promotional tools like in-ad offers and expanded Dynamic Product Ads formats. The goal is pretty clear. Snapchat needs to drive more ad revenue without relying on user growth, so it’s finding new ways to maximise exposure to its existing audience. Whether users love that or start to feel a bit overwhelmed… we’ll find out soon enough. 👉 Read More

🤖 Zuckerberg is building an AI version of himself

Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly developing a personal AI agent to help him run Meta. The idea is to use AI to retrieve information faster, cut through layers of communication and ultimately make decision-making more efficient.

It’s part of a much bigger shift inside Meta, where AI is now deeply embedded into how the company operates. Employees are building their own tools, attending regular AI sessions and even experimenting with agents that can interact with each other. It all sounds very efficient… and slightly like the early stages of a sci-fi film. 👉 Read More

🎥 LinkedIn doubles down on creators and video for B2B

LinkedIn is making a bigger push into creator partnerships and video, introducing new sponsorship options, expanded BrandLink capabilities and more flexible ways to buy Connected TV ads.

The key takeaway is that trusted voices and video content are now central to B2B marketing. According to LinkedIn’s data, creators are influencing decisions right through to the final stages of the buying journey. So if you’re still thinking B2B is all PDFs and whitepapers, it might be time for a rethink. 👉 Read More

📺 YouTube tests video preview highlights

YouTube is testing a new feature that shows short preview clips of videos before you click, giving users a better idea of what they’re about to watch.

It’s essentially a move away from relying purely on thumbnails, which have become increasingly… creative. For viewers, this could make it easier to find relevant content. For creators who spend thousands optimising thumbnails, it might shake things up a bit. Either way, fewer misleading “shocked face” thumbnails might not be the worst thing. 👉 Read More

🔧 Quick Tip of the Week

With Instagram now letting you rearrange carousel posts, it’s worth testing different opening frames. The first image does a lot of the heavy lifting for engagement, so try switching it up after posting and see what performs best.

    KFC Puffer Pickle jacket ad

    🥒 KFC drops a pickle-filled puffer jacket

KFC has launched a jacket filled with actual pickle juice, complete with a built-in straw. It’s ridiculous, unnecessary and exactly the kind of thing people will share. 👉 Sip the strategy

    Call a boomer ad

📞 “Call a boomer” connects strangers across generations

A simple but powerful idea encouraging young people to call and chat with older adults experiencing loneliness. Less about reach, more about real human connection. 👉 Make the call
