Lucid: A Tale of David and Goliath

Comprehensive digital PR strategy drives coverage amid the pandemic in a crowded electric vehicle marketplace.

Lucid Motors, a luxury electric vehicle brand, was launching during the pandemic and needed to create global awareness for the brand on a digital-only level since in-person events were cancelled.  The goal was to drive pre-orders of its first vehicle, the Lucid Air, but it was clear that Tesla was the far leader in the category. The months-long approach leading up to the launch included integrated social and paid media to ensure the conversations extended well beyond the unveiling. Every announcement held significance as a brand or industry-first. Woven messaging around the ground-breaking EV technology and high-end luxury design of the Lucid Air emphasized its overall differentiation from the EV market. We then advised that Lucid stream the reveal across all social channels and the Lucid Motors website for maximum impact. ​
