Michael was most recently Head of Social Marketing at W20 Group and, prior to that, SVP of Social Strategy for Edelman Digital. Michael is also a TEDx speaker and has authored two books about the business impact of social media marketing. He will be based at the agency’s US headquarters in San Francisco.

Mark Burr has been appointed as SVP of Piston, a LEWIS company. Mark will play a critical role in integrating Piston into LEWIS while expanding its operational and service capabilities. He joins from Uniworld Boutique River Cruises where he was Global Digital Director and responsible for all brand and digital marketing campaigns for the global luxury travel company. Prior to Uniworld, Mark held executive-level digital marketing positions with Cohn & Wolfe and GSW Worldwide. Mark will be based in the agency’s recently relocated downtown San Diego office.

“We are pleased to welcome Michael and Mark to the team,” said Stephen Corsi, Global SVP of LEWIS Pulse. “Under their leadership, we will continue to strengthen our digital capabilities and deepen our creative, social media, search and analytics services. Both will play an integral role in our plan to expand to new markets and champion our commitment to delivering an agile and integrated approach.”

As the fastest-growing agency division, LEWIS Pulse has become a 60-person global team with technology, consumer packaged goods, financial services, automotive and travel clients. LEWIS Pulse offers a full range of digital marketing services including social media marketing, digital advertising, creative services, web design and development.

The strategic hires are part of LEWIS’ transformation into a full-service communications agency. LEWIS finished its fiscal year 2015 with global revenues of US $65 million, representing year-on-year growth of 23%. Following investments and significant growth in digital, research and advertising services, the agency supports clients through the entire marketing process from lead to close.
